Jeanne Aline (Paquin) Degnan

Jeanne A Degnan, 86, of North Smithfield passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at the Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence on April 17, 2024.  She was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Irene Paquin.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Christine Degnan (husband Thomas Risk), Colleen Degnan-Daley, Jeanne Degnan, Elizabeth Degnan, her daughter-in-law, Trish Degnan, as well as  her brothers Charles Paquin of Arizona and Paul Paquin of North Smithfield.  She was the very proud Grandmother to 7 and Great-Grandmother to 7.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Degnan III and her husband of 65 years, William Degnan, Jr.

Jeanne worked as a bookkeeper for the North Smithfield School Administration Department for 17 years before leaving to start  Atlantic Payroll company which she owned and operated for nearly 30 years.

She was an avid tennis player and made many long-lasting friendships on the courts in Chatham, MA and Stuart, FL.

Jeanne will always be remembered as a small but mighty bundle of energy who adored her family, friends and laughter!

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd, North Smithfield, RI. 

Services will respectfully be private.
