Burrillville – F. Hope (Bailey) Virostek, RN of Titusville FL., and formerly of Spring Lake, Glendale died Thursday evening at the Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry. She was the wife of the late Stephen Virostek.
Born in Providence, daughter of the late Fred and Mary-Ann (Malone) Bailey.
She worked as a registered nurse for 36 years for the Burrillville School District until retiring in 1982. She graduated in 1942 from the former R.I. Hospital Training School for Nurses, and was a member of the Dr. Cappa Gamma Society. She was a visiting nurse for the Burrillville District Nursing Association and a former Burrillville Welfare Director. She was an active member of the Village Players.
Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Luther of Foster, many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Frederick A. Bailey and Charles R. Bailey.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 10 am from the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland with a mass of Christian burial at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Pascoag. Burial in Riverside Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Hope Virostek Nursing Scholarship, 31 Moosup Valley Rd., Foster, RI 02825. Calling hours will be held Sunday 3-6 pm.
