WOONSOCKET – Mrs. Blanche P. (Dufresne) Marois, 89, of Seventh Ave., Woonsocket, died peacefully Feb. 9, 2010 at the Friendly Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Conrad J. Marois. Born Jan. 16, 1921 in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late George and Palmire (Beauregard) Dufresne. She was a city resident most of her life. Blanche worked as a doffer for the former of Glenark Worsted Mill and the Sidney Worsted Mill. She is survived by a son, Roger Marois of Woonsocket with whom she lived; two grandsons Richard and Steven Marois and a great-granddaughter, Alexandria Marois. She was the sister of the late Alphonse and Ovila Dufresne, Bertha Brouillard, Jeannette Paul, Irene Giguere and Rita Pouliot. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 am from the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Family Church, So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory can be made to The Homestead Group, 68 Cumberland St., Woonsocket.
