Betty Anne (Gilmore) Desourdy

Betty Anne (Gilmore) Desourdy, 50, of Harrisville, RI passed away peacefully after a long term illness, on May 4, 2017, surrounded by family.

She was born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Gertrude B. Gilmore (Lury) and the late John A. Gilmore, Sr. 

Betty managed FLH Stage Company and previously she was a flagger at a Construction Company and a waitress for 17 years.

She is survived by her children, Dennis J. Desourdy Jr. of Harrisville, Brittany L. Desourdy of Providence and Brandy L. Desourdy of Greenville. She is also survived by three brothers and 1 sister, John A. Gilmore, Jr. of N. Smithfield, George E. Gilmore, Sr. of Johnston, William H. Gilmore, of Nasonville, Lori Anne Lucas of Foster, the late Robert S. Gilmore of Harrisville, also one Godchild Jillina Lee Lucas of Foster, and her longtime companion Frank Hopkins and family of Harrisville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10am in St. Theresa's Church in Nasonville. Burial will follow in Pascoag Cemetery in Pascoag. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8pm at the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.
