Constance H. (Dufour) Savoie

Constance H. "Connie" Savoie, 88, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on April 14, 2017, at her residence.

She was the beloved wife for 67 years to Albert Savoie. She was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late George & Marion (Lamoureux) Dufour.

Connie worked for the former Uniroyal Rubber Company, the former Sadwin's Curtain Shop in Woonsocket and the former Janet's Ice Cream & Catering Restaurant. Her favorite activities were enjoying family gatherings, traveling with her dear husband Al and playing bingo and cards with her wonderful friends. She brought her love and tenderness to all who knew and loved her.

Besides her husband, Connie is survived by three sons, Alan and his wife Ida of Woonsocket, Marc and his wife Susan of Hopedale, MA and Scott of Coral Springs, FL and her daughter, Sharon Marchand and her husband Marc, with whom she lived. She is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren, Kate, Laura, Jason, Maria, Meagan, Michelle, Joseph and Aidan, one loving great granddaughter Nadia and a sister, Lorraine Robert of Gainesville, FL.

She was preceded in death a sister, Claudette Turgeon and a brother, Maurice Dufour.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10am from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. John's Church in Slatersville. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm.
