Edward R. Trinque, 92, resident of Pascoag, RI, formerly of Mapleville, passed away on June 29, 2017, at the Bayberry Commons Nursing Home. He was the husband of 54 years to the late M. Eileen (O'Connell) Trinque. He was born in Mapleville, a son of the late Pierre & Anna (Brooks) Trinque. Edward was self-employed and owned & operated the former Ed & EI Inc. in Chepachet, and also Ed's Auto Parts and Ed's Gulf Station in Chepachet. He also worked for the Factory Mutual Engineering Test Center in Chepachet, retiring in 1990. He was a Army veteran of WWII serving in the 98th Division, He was a member of the RI Disabled Veteran's Chapter #12 and the Knights of Columbus Pascoag Council #383. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Elliott of Harrisville, sister, Anna Sinnott of Harrisville, 3 grandchildren, 1great grandson and 1 great-great granddaughter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by a son, Michael P. Trinque, brothers, Raymond and Pierre Trinque Jr. and a sister, Rita Hanley. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland with a mass of Christian burial at 10am in Our Lady of Good Help Church in Mapleville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Harrisville. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7pm.
