John R. Fox, 90, of Blackstone, MA, passed away on March 21, 2018, at the Landmark Medical Center after a long illness.
A Blackstone resident for many years, he leaves his loving wife, Gloria (Tancrede) Fox. He was born in Boston, MA, a son of the late James & Lillian (Hart) Fox.
Educated in Boston, John was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, a former Metropolitan Commission police officer and a retired inspector at the Massachusetts Alcohol and Beverage Commission.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his brothers, Frederick of Hanover, MA, Gerald of Norwood, MA and Cape Coral, FL and Edward Fox of Blackstone, MA. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Francis Fox.
His funeral will be held, Monday, at 9 AM from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Paul's Church in Blackstone. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, from 4-7pm.
