John J O'Gara

John J. O'Gara, 55 of Providence, passed unexpectedly but at peace on November 26, 2017, at Rhode Island Hospital.  Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Constance J. O'Gara of North Smithfield, RI and the late Donald J. O'Gara. 

John was a caring gentle soul who lived a simple hard working life and was blessed by the grace and kindness of many along his journey. 

He is survived by his sisters; Ann-Marie Camann and her husband, Greg, of Bedford, NH, Barbara Haynes and her husband Thomas, of Riverside, RI, Joan Cote and her husband, Michael of Burrillville, RI and Connie Rudis of Lincoln, RI.  Also one brother, Glenn O'Gara and his wife Marie of Cranston, RI.  John was also survived by his niece, Kaitlin Rudis; nephews, Eric Cash, Andrew and Thomas Camann, Steven Rudis, Joshua, Matthew & Christopher Cote; Great nephews include, Jackson Panarello and Charlie Rudis.  He was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many loyal friends.  He was preceded in death by not only his father but, his brother, Donald J. O'Gara, Jr.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 9 AM, from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Good Help Church, 1063 Victory Highway, Mapleville, RI. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in Cranston. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM, Friday, December 1st.
