Leo C. Campopiano, 98, passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on March 2, 2017, at the Milford Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Cote) Campopiano. He was born in Woonsocket, son of the late Dominico & Theresa (Imondi) Campopiano.

Leo was a long time Blackstone and Bellingham, MA resident. He owned Leonardo's Barber Shop on North Main St. in Woonsocket which he retired in 2006 at the age of 88. He was a barber for the majority of his life. He was a member of the Knight's of Columbus, the Sons of Italy, the Italian Workingmen's Club, the Bellingham Senior Center and volunteered at Milford Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Vanasse and her husband Rick of Wakefield,RI, a granddaughter, Heather Alves and her husband Joe of Bellingham, MA, and a great granddaughter, Lyla Alves. He is also survived by his sisters, Eleanor Hickman and Dorothy Ciavarini.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Anthony, Augusto, Americo and Dominick Campopiano, Angelina McGeough, Lucy Rossi and Theresa Riendeau.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Palliative Care Unit at the Milford Regional Medical Center.
