Mary J. (Langlois) Blanchard

Mary J. "Jackie" Blanchard, 87, of Daffodil Hill, Glendale, passed away on September 10, 2017 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the loving wife of the late Roger H. Blanchard. She was born in Harrisville a daughter of the late Wilfred & Edith (Lockwood) Langlois. Jackie served on the Burrillville School Comittee and was a very strong advocate for special needs students. She enjoyed gardening especially growing her daffodils and mums, she also enjoyed reading and needle work. She is survived by her children, Karen Patterson and her husband Harry of Beaufort, of South Carolina, Nancy Olson and her husband Eric of E. Providence, RI and Lisa Silvestri and her husband John of Smithfield, Paul Blanchard and his wife Shirley of South Carolina, Mark Blanchard of Glendale, Scott Blanchard of Pascoag and Todd Blanchard and his wife Cindy of Mapleville. Also, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol Hauser of Harrisville, Elaine Giguere of Harrisville and Edith St. Sauveur of North Smithfeld. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lynn Blanchard. Her funeral service will be held Friday, 11 AM, in the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Highway, Oakland, RI with calling hours prior to the service from 9-11 AM. Burial will be immediately following at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag
