Walter G. Berlinghof

Walter G. Berlinghof, 89, of North Smithfield, RI passed away on July 20, 2017, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the loving husband of 60 years of the late Emma G. (Frede) Berlinghof. He was born in Germany, a son of the late George & Herta (Schussler) Berlinghof. Walter was a general manager for Costal Plastics Co. in Hope Valley. He was a resident of North Smithfield for 47 years and he enjoyed repairing antique clocks. He was a Korean veteran. He is survived by his children, Ron Berlinghof of Oakland, Nancy Minot of Woonsocket and Lisa Reed of Westland, MI, grandchildren, Meghan Minot, Pamela Teixeira, Jason and Joyce Berlinghof. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11am in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, with military honors. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5 until 8pm.
