Alan M. Savoie

Alan M. Savoie, 65, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away on January 30, 2019, at the Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI while surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Ida (Gagnon) Savoie. Born in Woonsocket a son of Albert Savoie and the late Constance (DuFour) Savoie. Alan worked for the Bacala Concrete Co. in Johnston as a truck driver. Alan was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was an avid motorcycle rider and he enjoyed talking with others, watching movies, nature and walking in the woods. Besides his wife and father, he is survived by his daughters Kate Lavallee and Laura Diolosa, his granddaughter Nadia Lavallee and his siblings Marc Savoie, Sharon Marchand and Scott Savoie. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 1 until 4pm in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Beginnings, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
