Ann Marie (Plante) Gauvin

Ann Marie Gauvin, 77, of Mapleville, RI passed away on January 3, 2018, at the Golden Crest Nursing Home in North Providence. She was the loving wife of Charles Gauvin. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Joseph & Florence (Ferris) Plante. Ann was a teacher for the Woonsocket School Department after graduating Rhode Island College. She enjoyed cooking and loved horses and dogs. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Paula G. Goss and her husband Robert of Maryland, a brother, Joseph H. Plante and his wife Carolyn of Providence, a sister, Janet Gray of Jamestown and her beloved dogs, Jack and Titan who were rescued from the RISPCA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Main Street, Harrisville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI.
