Annie M. Balfour

Annie M. Balfour, 88, Harrisville, RI passed away on February 26, 2017, at the Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was the loving wife to the late Robert Balfour. She was born in Woonsocket, son of the late William & Annie (Pennington) Wolstenholme.

She was the head housekeeper at the Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, for many years. She lived most of her life in Burrillville. Annie loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Ferreira of Pascoag, David Balfour of Rutland, VT and Gail Morse of Harrisville. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Donald, Charles, Ernest, George, Harry, Joseph, Robert and Dorothy Wolstenholme, Mary Balfour (her twin sister), Phyllis Doorbar, Evelyn Goodad and Emily McAllister.

Her funeral service will be Thursday at 11am in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield. Burial in Union Cemetery will be held at a later date. Calling hours are prior to the service from 9am until 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Capitol Improvement Fund at the Berean Baptist Church, PO Box 112 Harrisville, RI 02830.
