Arthur H. Leclerc, 99, of North Smithfield, RI passed away on November 4, 2017, at the St. Antoine Residence.
He was the husband of the late Maria (Marcotte) Leclerc. He was born in Central Falls, RI son of the late Arthur & Marianne (Bergeron) Leclerc.
Arthur worked as a loom fixer for the former Bonin Spinning Co. in Woonsocket, before retiring he worked for the former Bancroft Co. in the maintenance department. He was a resident of North Smithfield since 2009, previously he lived in Blackstone, MA for 65 years. He was a member of the Cercle Laurier and Knights of Columbus, he was also a communicant of St. Theresa's Church. He enjoyed golf and played in a league and really enjoyed playing his banjo.
He is survived by his children, Lorraine Chaput and Trudy Paterson, grandchildren, Helen Closs, Celeste Jones, Robert and David Paterson and Christopher Chaput, great grandchildren, Maria Jones, Daniel Jones, Jack and Carl Closs, Aislinm, Tyler and Dylan Paterson and Oliver Chaput.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11am in St. Antoine's Chapel, Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Manville. Calling hours and flowers are omitted. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket.
