Ernest P. Moulico, 83, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and children, on April 30, 2018. Born in North Smithfield, he was the son of the late Daniel and Annie (Connetti) Moulico. He was the devoted husband of 49 years, to Ellen (L’Heureux) Moulico.
Ernest worked for 45 years at the Worcester Textiles, Foley and Smith Yard Division and proudly belonged to the 118th RI National Guard. Ernest was excellent at working with his hands and fixing anything around the house. The beautiful layout of the land surrounding his home was crafted by Ernest from the time he began to grow his family there. A gentleman in every sense of the word, he was also a keenly hardworking husband, father and grandfather to the family that he adored and was so very proud of.
Besides his wife Ellen, he is survived by his children: Leslee Deslauriers and her husband, Michael, of North Smithfield, Daniel Moulico and his wife, Jennifer, of Lincoln and Ernest Moulico and his wife, Christine, of North Smithfield; Grandchildren, Douglas and Sarah Deslauriers and Isabella, Ryan and Jacob Moulico; also, his loving sister, Judith Moulico and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Barbrie and his brother, Daniel Moulico.
His funeral will be held from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield, beginning at 9 AM on Saturday, May 5th, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. John’s Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, from 5-7 PM, inside the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that any denomination you would have used to buy flowers, be spent doing something special with your own family, as a loving gesture that Ernest would have wanted.
