Gary L. Wright

Gary L. Wright, 71, of South Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2018. The son of the late Ivan & Mable (Watson) Wright. Originally from Iowa, Gary enlisted in the military at the age of 18, and was a Vietnam War veteran. Following his service in the military, he spent many years traveling the world working in the IT and recruiting industries. He was happiest at home however, watching his children’s sporting events, fishing and spending time with family and friends. An avid New England Patriots fan, he spent his fall and winter weekends cheering on the Pats. Gary was a loving husband, and best friend of 48 years, to Joanne (Tsatsu) Wright. He also was a proud father of David Wright and Sara Wright. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Keith Wright, sister-in-law Carolyn Wright, granddaughter Jaelyn and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services, and burial at St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Cemetery in Woonsocket, RI, were held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Providence Veterans Association, in memory of Gary Wright.
