Genevieve V. (Voll) Rafferty

Genevieve T. (Voll) Rafferty, 91, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on May 27, 2017, at the Saint Antoine Residence in North Smithfield.  She was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Walter S. Voll and the late Genevieve (Morrissey) Voll.  She was a graduate of the Convent High School in Syracuse.

After raising five boys, Genevieve worked and traveled for many years as a sales representative for Academic Management Services of Pawtucket, RI.  Over the years she lived in a number of places including Syracuse, Oneida and Sherrill, NY; West Chester, PA; East Lyme and Waterford, CT; and North Providence, RI.

Genevieve is survived by her five sons, Patrick of West Orange, NJ, Michael of Charlotte, NC, Robert Jr. of Lake Placid, NY, Thomas of Warwick, RI and John of Westerly, RI, five daughter-in-laws, as well as ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She is also survived by two of her brothers, Rev. Walter Urban Voll of Providence, RI and Kevin J. Voll of Matthews, NC.

Genevieve was predeceased by her husband, Robert B. Rafferty, Sr. and her younger brother, Eugene T. Voll. 

A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, June 5th at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church in Ashaway, Rhode Island.  Burial will be private.
