Janet T. (Langelier) Sweck, 88, of North Smithfield, RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family just three days shy of her 89th birthday. The wife of the late Eugene R. “Sonny” Sweck. Born in North Smithfield, the daughter of the late Henry and Alice ( Brodeur) Langelier. She was a devout catholic and a life long communicant of St. Paul’s Church, where she was a “sparkling angel” that helped clean the church. After raising her family, she worked at St. Antoine’s as a dietary aide and Ye Olde English Fish n Chips. After retirement, she always enjoyed visiting the casinos with her close friends. She is survived by her children, Robert Sweck and his fiancé Karen LaRose both of North Smithfield, Linda Belisle and her husband Robert of North Andover, MA and Diane Lizotte and her husband Kevin of North Smithfield. She has 7 loving grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a brother Roger Langelier. She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Paris and siblings Normand Langelier, Doris Bligh, Connie Beane and Helen O’Brien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 22nd at 10 AM in St. Paul’s Church, in Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
