John L. Larson

John L. Larson, 72, of Pascoag, RI passed away on July 2, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family after an illness. He was the loving husband of 35 years to Mary Jane (Bowen) Larson. He was born in Providence, son of the late Victor & Margaret (Cahill) Larson. John was an industrial instructor for the MA Correctional Department. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran John was also a member and past president of the Sayles Hill Rod and Gun Club, past president of the Junior Hockey League and Senior Basketball League both in Burrillville. He also served on the town's Conservation Commission and the Planning Board and he served 27 years helping to fulfill Children's Wishes. Beside his wife he is survived by his children, Casey Larson of Pascoag, Inga Gregory and her husband Patrick of Falmouth, MA and his sisters, Karen Frasca and her husband Tony and Jean Gardner and her husband Jim all of Florida. His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30am from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Joseph's Church in Pascoag. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Wishes of RI, 2346 Post Road, Suite 102, Warwick, RI 02886.
