June Beverly (Dexter) Austin

June Beverly Austin, 86, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2018, at the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Providence. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Smith) Dexter. June was a loving homemaker and did a lot of sewing and baking for her family. She had a passion for collecting tea cups and loved her dog, “Oreo”. She leaves behind her son Michael and his wife Linda, her grandson, Neil Austin and her sister Shirley Zebo. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Austin and her brother, Edward “Duckie” Dexter. Her funeral service and burial in St. Johns Cemetery were held privately and entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield. The family requests that donations to the RI Animal Shelter be made in her honor.
