Nancy F. (Whittaker) Demers

Nancy F. Demers, 78, of Harrisville, RI, passed away September 10, 2019, at the Overlook Nursing Home. She was born April 8, 1941 in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Francis & Evelyn (Godin) Whittaker. Nancy worked for the Overlook Nursing Home Nursing Home from where she retired, she also worked for Zambarano Hospital and the Motion Picture Town House in California. An avid Red Sox fan, as she as was known as "Ma” at Fenway Park, she attended game one of the 2013 World Series. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and bus trips to Foxwoods with her friends. She is survived by her sons, Gary Demers of Woonsocket and Scott Demers of Harmony, grandson, Derek Demers of Cranston, sister, Suzanne Lynes of Pascoag and her brother, Francis "Eli" Whittaker of Maine. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5-8 PM.
