Raoul F. Destoler

Raoul F. Destoler, 80, of Pascoag, RI, passed away on April 21, 2019, at the Landmark Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of 50 years to Carol (Brisson) Destoler. He was born in Mohegan, son of the late Raoul & Sophie (Treba) Destoler.

Raoul worked for the Burrillville School Department for 17 years, he was a life long resident of Burrillville. Raoul and Carol dedicated their life to caring for their handicapped son for 32 years, He was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins fan, he enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.

He is survived by his children, Sheri Actis and her husband John Jr. and Donna Soderlund and her husband Robert, grandchildren, John C. Actis, Roger Hertzfeldt, Joshua Soderlund and Kaile Soderlund and brother Raymond "Red" Destoler and his wife Louise.

He preceded in death by his children, Annette Hertzfeldt, Lynn Destoler and Michael Destoler and sisters Barbara Slader and Lorraine Duhamel.

His funeral will be held Tuesday May 7, 2019 at 9am from the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Joseph's Church, Sayles Ave. Pascoag. Burial will follow in Old Douglas Cemetery, in Douglas, MA. Calling hours will be held prior to the mass from 9am until 10:30am.
