Robert L. Allard

Robert L. Allard, 74, of Nasonville, RI passed away on September 14, 2017, at the Coventry Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the loving husband of 31 years to Donna (Mainville) Allard. They were married on September 5, 1986. He was born in Woonsocket, RI, a son of the late Leo & Mildred (Tempest) Allard. Bob worked as a dispatcher for the North Smithfield Fire Department and previously worked for Edgecomb Steel Co. and local area textile mills. He was a volunteer fireman for the Nasonville Fire Department where he served on the operating committee and held multiple positions from Private to Deputy Chief. He also was a volunteer for the St. Vincent De Paul Society and he also coached in the Burrillville Little League. Bob was a Vietnam US Army veteran. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Mackey and her husband Robert of Woonsocket, Christopher Allard of Woonsocket, Robert Allard, Jr. & his wife Kerri of Danielson, CT, Lynn Allard of Mattawamkeag, ME and Erick Allard of Burrillville. Also 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and his siblings, Carol Brissette and her husband Ronald, Jo Ann Hill and her husband William and Linda Landi and her husband Gary and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11am in St. Theresa's Church, Dion Drive in Nasonville. Burial in the parish cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 75817, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517. Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.
