Russell R. Brien

Russell R. Brien, 68, of Woonsocket, RI passed away on January 16, 2018, at his residence. He was married to Helene (Vanmoerkerque) Brien. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Omer & Claire (Plante) Brien. Russell was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He is survived by his children, Becky Brien of Woonsocket with whom he lived, Jason Brien and his wife Nikki of North Smithfield and Joshua Brien and his wife Jessica of North Smithfield, grandchildren, Kelsey Brien, Kayla Richardson and her companion Jevaughni Clarke, Morgan Brien, Zachary Archambault, Frankie Ryan and Kile Hreczuch, great granddaughter, Alanis Clarke and his beloved dog Diva. He is also survived by his siblings, Kenneth Brien, Gayle Delselva and Amy Perez and his extended family, Hennesey, Jordan, Cherrish, Promiss, Orlando, Robert, Paris, Kadalyn and Dahlia. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Donald Brien and Patricia Leveille. A committal service with Military Honors and burial will be held Thursday at 11am in the RI Veterans Cemetery, South County Trail in Exeter. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket.
