Alfreda L. Koly, 85, of North Smithfield, RI, passed away on March 16, 2026, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Henry & Mary Louise (Sagot) Corey. She was the loving wife of the late Matthew H. Koly. Alfreda worked for General Motors Co., Johnson & Johnson and was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crafts, watching movies but most of all was taking care of all her cats. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Lonardo, Cynthia Smith, Nikole Coutu and her husband Robert and Jackolyn Torres, grandchildren, Steven Verino, Lauren Crinnian, Courtney Lonardo, Brittany, Savanah and Kory Smith, Kyle and Jared Coutu, Richard, Eva, Henry, Louis and Edward Levesque and Jaime and Jackson Torres. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karolyn Levesque and grandchildren, Matthew Lonardo and Kassidy Smith. A funeral service will be held Friday evening March 27, 2026 at 7 PM in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 4 PM until 7 PM. Burial in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
