Angela G. (Tsatsu) Floru

Angela G. (Tsatsu) Floru, 83, of North Smithfield, RI passed away on September 19, 2023, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of 55 years to the late George P. Floru. Born in Kranea – Grevena, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Vasilios and Maria (Dafulas) Tsatsu.

Angela and her husband were the former owners of the Woonsocket Motor Inn.

She attended St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church and was a member of their Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with family, close friends and visits with her nephew, Paul Floru. 

She is survived by her children, Colonel (R) Michael G. Floru of Riverside, CT, V James “Bill” Floru of North Smithfield, RI, Stella M. Matarazzo and her husband Anthony of East Bridgewater, MA. She also leaves behind her sister, Joanne Wright and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Stamatia Tsatsu and sisters, Eleni Tsatsu, Stella Tafili and Paraschevi Bassis.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Son’s Funeral Home, 75 Harris Avenue, Woonsocket, RI 02895.

Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 5 - 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will start at 10 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, 501 E. School Street, Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Cemetery, Mendon Road, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
