Anita B. Monteith, 98, of Burrillville passed away peacefully on July 25, 2021, at Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag. She was born and raised in the Oakland section of Burrillville prior to moving to Harrisville in 1986, She was the loving wife of the late James Monteith. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Delia (St. Pierre) Tatro.
Anita worked as a mender at the former Lincoln Mills in Pascoag, and as a CNA at Zambrano Memorial Hospital in Pascoag where she retired in 1986.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Rosary and Altar Society.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Cellemme of Mocksville, NC, Linda Nolan Gagne of Cumberland, ME, and Sheila Hartley of North Providence, RI.
She also leaves behind her 6 grandchildren, Stephanie Cellemme and Brianne Cellemme-Short, Joel and Alexis Nolan, Evan and Julia Hartley and 3 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be at the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Highway, Oakland, RI Thursday, July 29, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 45 Main Street, Harrisville, RI. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Pascoag.
