Ashley Marie Carter

Ashley Marie Carter, 37, of Burrillville, RI passed peacefully on July 9, 2025, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Attleboro, MA she was the daughter of Harold “Butch” Carter & Holly (Vinton) Carter.

Ashley was a devoted nurse who dedicated her life to taking care of others. She was intelligent, witty and strong-willed. She was a professional movie quoter, hilariously inappropriate with a sharp tongue. At Ashley’s core, family and friends meant the most to her. Ashley’s greatest achievement was being a mother to her two beautiful girls, Zhavia and Kamila. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed.

Ashley is survived by her parents Holli Carter (Mark Heeks) and Harold “Butch” Carter (Michelle Boucher). Her longtime companion Wayne Gallman and her two daughters Zhavia and Kamilla Gallman.

She also leaves behind her siblings, Harold “Joe-Joe” Carter, IV (Andrea Griffin) and Aimee Carter (Justin Tetreault). Also, her paternal grandparents, Sandra and Harold Carter, Jr., her aunts and uncles, Kevin and Cara Carter, Keith and Linda Carter, Steven and Melissa Carter, Jodi Cipriano, Heidi and Krim Assif and Mark and Holly Mazelli. Her niece, Grace Carter "her twinny twin twin", nephews, Jayden Honeycutt and Blake Heneault and several cousins throughout MA and RI.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mark and Carol Mazelli and Edward Vinton, her uncles, Todd Vinton and Tony Cipriano.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene- Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, RI.

Calling hours will be Monday, July 14, 2025, from 5:00 - 8:00PM Funeral Mass will be held on July 15, 2025, at 11:00AM at the Slatersville Congregational Church, 25 Greene St., on the Common, Slatersville, RI. Ashley’s burial will take place at Pascoag Cemetery at a later date.
