Brenda Ann (Merchant) Jalette

Brenda A. Jalette, 66, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026 in North Smithfield. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline (Fournier) Merchant. She was the longtime companion of Scott Davison.

Brenda treasured the time she spent with her family and friends and found great joy in collecting owl figurines. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with those closest to her.

She is survived by her loving son, Richard Jalette and his wife Kathleen; her cherished grandchildren, Alexys, Kyle and Trevin; her brother, William Merchant and his wife Linda; and her beloved dog, Scooter.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda (Merchant) Wareham.

Arrangements are entrusted to Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.

In honor of Brenda a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
