Christina (Tokarski) Belanger

Christina Belanger, 76, of Glocester, passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care with family by her side. Born in Hamburg Germany of Polish decent coming to the United States in 1951 on the USS Sturgis. She resided in Woonsocket,RI until 1998 moving to Cumberland,RI where she lived until the death of her Husband in 2019.She then moved to Glocester, RI and resided with her daughter and son in law. She was the daughter of the late Stephan Tokarski and Josepha (Spiewak) Tokarski. She was the loving wife of 55 years to the late Robert Belanger.

Christina worked as a manager for Tech Industries where she retired from in 2010. She loved watching her Hallmark movies, playing games on her iPad, most of all she loved spending time with her family and getting to babysit her great granddaughter, Nora.

She is survived by her children Lori Paul and her husband Kenneth of Glocester, RI and Robert Belanger and his wife Christine of Wilton, CT. Four grandchildren Marissa and Alex Szymanski, Hannah and Nevin Belanger. Two great grandchildren Nora Fleury and Draco Szymanski ***

She also leaves behind her siblings Helen Felber and her husband Leo of North Smithfield, RI and John Tokarski and his wife Marie of Burrillville, RI.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Richard and Edward Tokarski.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 7:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Church ,3357 Mendon Rd., Cumberland, RI. She will be laid to rest with her late husband Robert in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Christina can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
