Clarice V Phaneuf

Clarice V. Phaneuf, 92, of Woonsocket, RI. died at Bayberry Commons, Pascoag on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Clarice was married to the late Normand P. Phaneuf for 52 years until his death in 2011.

Born in Mohegan, RI a daughter of the late Arthur Courtemanche and Jeanne D’Arc Gauthier Courtemanche Pelletier, Clarice graduated from Burrillville High School in 1947. Clarice moved to Woonsocket, RI where she lived for most of her life.  She worked for many years at the former Brown's and Spencer’s stores on Main Street, Woonsocket.

She is survived by her son Marc and his wife Louise of Pascoag, RI, her daughter, Celeste Bedigian, and her husband Peter, of Northbridge, MA, and three grandchildren, Katherine Stapp, Angela Bedigian and Matthew Bedigian. She is also survived by her sister, Gloria Arsenault, her brother-in-law, Gilbert Taschereau and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Normand, Clarice was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Courtemanche and her sisters, Marguerite Taschereau and Muriel Dearman.

Funeral Services will be private. in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 226 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI. 02895.
