Constance C. Richardson, "Connie", of Chepachet, R.I., wife of the late Walter T. Richardson for 60 years, passed peacefully on February 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family she spent her life nurturing.

Born February 19,1933 in Glendale, R.I., Connie was the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Lemieux) Desjarlais.

She is survived by her six children, Walter C., Wayne, Wes and his wife Janet, Wendy Makowski and her husband Joe, Ward and his wife Dianna, and Wynette Zuppardi and her husband Brian. She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew, Joey, Stephen, Tiffany, Ariel, Tamara, and Tyler and the proud great-grandmother of Joseph, Austin, Cooper, Charlotte, Cecilia, Vivian, Booth, Joseph.

For decades, Connie provided childcare to countless children; she provided a second home to many who knew her affectionately as "Aunt Connie" or "Miss Connie". 

Connie worked alongside her husband, running Walt's Oil and Gas Service from 1984 to 1995 and was a member of the Glocester Business Association. She served as a Boy Scouts den mother, a Eucharistic minister and as the President and Treasurer of Pine Meadows Association. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and friends in their antique cars as members of the Draggon's Tri-State Cruises of Putnam, CT. 

Her funeral will be held Tuesday March 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in St. Eugene’s Church in Chepachet, RI. Burial will follow in Acotes Hill Cemetery in Chepachet, RI. Calling hours will be held Monday March 2,2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
