Constance "Connie" Pelletier Obituary

Constance "Connie" Yvette (Demers) Pelletier, 76, of Killingly, CT passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family and friends on June 20, 2024. Born April 25, 1948 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Florida (Allard) Demers. She is joining her late husband, Roland Henri Pelletier, Sr., who passed away in 2020.

Connie was raised in Woonsocket, RI and lived there for the majority of her life. She also resided in Lincoln, RI and Midlothian, TX during her years.

Roland and Connie's first date was December 24, 1968, and were married on September 13, 1969. They were happily married for 51 years, and they renewed their wedding vows in September, 2019 at St. James Parish. Together they had 5 children, 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with 1 more on the way.

Connie worked hard as a stay-at-home mom, providing her children with love and guidance.

Connie participated actively in all her children's activities and supported her community in many ways. She served as a Girl Scout Leader of Troop 981 (once for her own children, and later reviving the troop number for her grandchildren) and Troop 177. For her children, biological or otherwise, she was very involved with the Woonsocket High School Band Boosters where she was affectionately known as the “Band Mom.” For her grandchildren, she attended every school concert, theater play, and dance recital she could. She made sure to lend a hand in raising and caring for every grandchild and great-grandchild, offering what the family called "Memere Care".

She was an active participant in her faith, serving as a greeter at Saint Agatha's Parish in Woonsocket, RI for many years and even helped a few others discover their faith over those years. When she could no longer travel, she watched her Mass on television every week.

She is survived by her son, Roland Pelletier, Jr., his wife Karen and their children, Joshua, Justin, Colin, Trey-Joel, Blake, Cyndi-Beth, Hunter, Gabriella and Ryleigh of Warwick, RI; her daughter, Tammylyn Stevenin, her husband Scott and their children, Michael and his wife Rena of Killingly, CT and Erin and her fiancé Darius of Columbia, MD; her daughter, Tracy Desautel, her husband Raymond and their children, Elizabeth and Abigail Cesana, Raymond, Jr. and KayLynn Desautel of Greenville, RI; her son, Craig Pelletier, his wife Amber and their daughter, Katelyn of Venus, TX, and her son, Paul Pelletier, his wife Briana and their children, Logan and twins Natalie and Emma of Cantonment, FL. She is also survived by her sister, Muriel Lareau, her great-grandchildren, Grace-Lynn, Matthew, Colton, Axle and Elizabeth, also many nieces, nephews, and cousins and her dog Simon that she loved dearly.
