Diane E. (Fernandes) Frenette

Diane E. Frenette (Fernandes), age 68, of Burrillville, RI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her devoted family. Born and raised in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Robert Fernandes, Sr., and the late Constance (Turcotte) Fernandes.

As the owner and operator of the former Castle Luncheonette in Woonsocket, Diane took great pride in her work and appreciated her long-term customers. She found enjoyment in cruising in her convertible, riding on the motorcycle, shopping, traveling, winters in Florida as a snowbird and especially the beach!!!! Diane delighted in hosting gatherings at her home, preparing generous meals for all. Her greatest joy came from sharing time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Diane is survived by the love of her life, her finance, Raymond Melillo. They shared over 20 years of countless adventures and tons of memories that will be forever cherished.

She is also survived by her father, Robert Fernandes, Sr., and his wife Marie, her children, Nicole Mirabile, Stacey Brouillard, Jesse Frenette, and stepson Zachary Melillo and six grandchildren, Francis and Robert Mirabile, Aria Darling, Ella Rae Brouillard, Adly Mae Brouillard, and Rylee Melillo. Additionally, she leaves behind siblings, Gary, Brian, Marc and Scott Fernandes, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, the late Constance (Turcotte) Fernandes, siblings, Robert J. Fernandes, Jr., Alan and Bruce Fernandes.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, RI. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Services and burial will respectfully be private.
