Donald A Genest. Sr.

Donald “Don” A. Genest. Sr. 71, of North Smithfield passed away on June 9, 2021, in Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Central Falls he was a son of the late Leo and Helen Genest. He was the loving and devoted husband of 50 years to Jacqueline (Emond) Genest.

He worked for Hindley Manufacturing Co. in Cumberland for over 35 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his two children, Lisa Aubin and Donald “DJ” Genest, Jr. and his wife Debbie. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Alix and Madison Aubin, Scott, Ryan and Trevor Duquette and his only great-granddaughter, Hope Aubin.

He is also survived by his sister, Lorna Galick of NY and was preceded in death by his brother, Francis Genest and sister, Denise Silva.

Donald was an avid New York Giants Fan and his greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Calling hours are Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 3-6 PM at Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield, RI.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be June 14,2021 at 11 AM at St. Theresa’s Church, Nasonville. Burial will be private.
