Donald "Don" H. DeRoche

Donald H. DeRoche, 77, of Burrillville, RI passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jeannette (Moreau) DeRoche. He was the loving husband of the late Marie Y. (Blanchette) DeRoche for 48 years, prior to her passing.

Donald was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving overseas during the Vietnam War. He had a career in marketing and sales of aftermarket automotive filters. He enjoyed auto restoration and his restored 1930 Chevy was his pride and joy.  He was also an avid sailor and in later years, a boater. He served as Commodore of the Edgewood Yacht Club in 1997 and in 1998.

He is survived by his children, Monique DeRoche (Jay Godleski) and Danielle Erickson, his five grandchildren, Elise and Alexander Audette, Gabrielle McKenna, Brady and Cameron Erickson and one-great-granddaughter, Alice Audette.

He also leaves behind his brother, James DeRoche and his wife Lee, also his nephew, Patrick and niece, Megan.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI.

Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 06, 2024, from 10:00 AM 12:00 PM followed by a Committal Service, with Military Honors, at 1:30 PM in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donald can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and Family Service of Rhode Island.
