Doris Lanctot, 91, passed away at the Friendly Home in Woonsocket, RI on May 4, 2026 while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cumberland, RI she was the daughter of the late Leo and Jeannette Lapierre. She was the loving wife of the late Arthur Lanctot. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 10 years at General Instruments and 29 years at Amperex. Her family was most important to Doris, and she especially had a soft spot for her great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader, taking weekly trips to the library. Doris loved going shopping and out to eat, and some of her favorite times were the trips to the casino. Doris is survived by her daughter, Linda Bentley of North Smithfield and her son, David Lanctot of North Providence. She is also survived by her grandson, Scott Bentley and his wife Stephanie of North Carolina and her granddaughter, Amanda Parenteau and her husband Michael of West Warwick. Also her great grandchildren, Jackson, Isabelle and Carter Bentley and Mackenzie and Zane Parenteau. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Pauline Beaudet, Leo Lapierre and Claire LaRoche. Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Parish, (OLQM), 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Family will receive guests at 9:30 AM at the front entrance of the church. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA.
