Duane Jeffery Schnorr

Duane Jeffery Schnorr, 68, of Pascoag, RI was welcomed to a heavenly reunion on August 27, 2022.  He was the husband of Monique (Jacques) Schnorr 34 Years. He was born January 24, 1954 in North Smithfield, RI.

Duane spent much of his time at his family camp in Pascoag prior to moving there full-time, where he and Monique made their home.  He came up through the family business, Schnorr Construction, Inc., and took over operations in the 1980’s until his retirement.

Those that knew Duane in his early years remember him as an outstanding hockey player and a beautiful water-skier. He loved all things outdoors, from fishing and hunting to snowmobiling and he also enjoyed adventuring in Maine, Alaska and St. Croix. In his later years, he enjoyed good days of bad golf, and he was also known to have a winning hand or two at the card table!   Duane loved a good story, a good dog and a good laugh. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved his quiet demeanor and twinkle of mischief in his eyes. He had a special place in his heart for his partners in crime at The Island, and though his presence there will be missed, although the laughter will linger.

Duane was pre-deceased by his parents, William H. Schnorr and Stella (Pulnik) Tainsh, a brother, William Kevin Schnorr and too many dear friends and his faithful dogs. He will be greatly missed. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield. A graveside service is planned for Thursday, September 1st at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Cemetery in Slatersville.
