Edward D. Scholz, 59, of Douglas, MA passed away at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester, MA on October 12, 2024, with family by his side. Born in West Palm Beach, FL he was the son of Ronald Edward Scholz and the late Joyce Gail (Wages) Scholz. He was the loving husband of Karen (Amato) Scholz.
He was a 2011 Graduate of Johnson & Wales earning an associate’s degree in science.
Edward worked in the following fields during his career; He worked at Digital in the shipping and receiving department, he worked for G-Tech as an IT technician, and also worked for BJ’s Distribution Center in Uxbridge with Loss Prevention and Quality Control. He was also a professional drummer for over 30 years playing for bands such Little Big Wheel and Far from Eden, along with many other bands.
When Ed was younger, he enjoyed roller skating, skateboarding, and skiing. He also had a deep love for his fur babies, Bandit and Bodie.
Besides his loving wife Karen, Ed is survived by his two sisters, Gail Galin of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Dawn Scholz of Micanopy, Florida. He is also survived by his nephews, Andrew Scholz of MA, Zachary Galin of TX, Alex Galin who is serving in the Navy, and Jeffery Galin of AZ.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.
Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM.
Service and Burial will be private.
