Elizabeth “Betty”Santos, 80, of Woonsocket passed away at Philip Hulitar Center in Providence on November 4, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Amavel “Joe” Santos for 56 years before he passed away in March 2023. Born in Woonsocket, RI she was the daughter of the late Michael and Dominica (Vendetti) Bebe.
Betty worked in many area mills including General Instrument, Sadwin’s, Tinsel Town and Tech Industries. Her favorite job was working as a lunch lady at Harris Elementary School for ten years. Betty was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo church. She was a member of the St. Charles Christmas Bazaar committee. Betty volunteered at the Park View meal site, and crocheted baby hats & blankets for Women and Infants Hospital and crocheted lap robes for Project Linus.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Maria Marrocco, son-in-law, Kenneth Marrocco, and her granddaughter, Sarah. She was the sister of Patricia Strzepek and Linda Bebe. The family wishes to thank Brittany from Amedisys, Valerie from Hope Health, and all of the nurses and staff at Hope Health Philip Hulitar Center for their kindness, dedication and exceptional care that they provided to Betty during her illness.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Son's Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, RI.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
