Gerard “Jerry” A. Arsenault, 98, of North Smithfield, RI passed away on August 21, 2025, at the Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Providence. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Alcide and Helen (Valois) Arsenault.
Jerry was a resident of North Smithfield for over 50 years living on the land he developed. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II with the Seabee’s.
He worked as a long-haul truck driver for various companies for 70 years.
He was a member of numerous horse-riding clubs, he loved his horses and trail riding and rode from New England to Florida.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Carol Folsom and Sharon Arsenault, three grandchildren, Kevin Daigle, JoAnne Detroia and Jessica Fontaine, also five great-grandchildren, Kodie, Wyatt, Logan and Owen Daigle and Samantha Stewart. Also one great-great-grandchild, Edith Rose Stewart and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Charpentier and a grandson, Michael Daigle, great-grandson, Matthew Dalton, Jr.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.
Services will respectfully be private.
