Gertrude M. (Leclerc) Paterson

 Woonsocket Gertrude M. “Trudy “Paterson, 82, formerly of Woonsocket, RI passed away on January 29, 2026, at the Heritage Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Smithfield. She was born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Arthur & Maria (Bergeron) Leclerc. She was the wife of the late Donlad P. Paterson; they were married for 49 years. Gertrude was a teacher for 37 years for the Blackstone School Department. She enjoyed doing crafts. She is survived by her son, David Paterson and his wife Dawn, grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler and Aislinn and a sister, Lorraine Chaput. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Paterson. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Divine Mercy Church, 48 St. Paul Street, on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, in Manville. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home in North Smithfield.
