Glen D. Biddiscombe, Sr.

Glen D. Biddiscombe, Sr., 70, of Burrillville, RI passed away peacefully on April 24, 2024 in Burrillville, RI. Born in Stoneham, MA, he was the son Elinor (Reardon) Biddiscombe and the late Francis Biddiscombe. He was the loving husband of Debra (Woods) Biddiscombe.

Glen became Director of the Burrillville Emergency Management Agency in 2012. He also worked as a dispatcher for the Burrillville Police Department where he received the RI Lifesaving Medal Award in 2013. Glen was also a member of Teamsters Local 251.

Glen has decades of serving his communities beginning as a teenager in Somerville Massachusetts and retiring as Lieutenant and Officer of Engine 21 for the Harrisville Fire Department. Additionally, he taught at the Rhode Island State Fire Academy, teaching EMT courses.

He is survived by his four children, Chris Westhaver, Glenn Biddiscombe, Jr., Kerri Keene and Nathan Keene. He is also survived by his three siblings, Brian and Susan Biddiscombe, Sharon Phillips and five grandchildren, Alex and Joshua Westhaver, Holly Biddiscombe and Aria and Clara Keene.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM with a service to follow in the funeral home at 7:00 PM.  Burial will be respectfully held privately.
