Obituary

Irene L. (Meinville) Houle, 92, of Burrillville, RI passed away on May 13, 2023 at Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag while surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Oakland, RI she was the only daughter of the late Napoleon and Mary Louise (Lavallee) Meinville.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Michael, Norman and Raymond Meinville.  She was also predeceased by her cousin, Arthur Lavallee.

She was the widow of the late Albert J. Houle to whom she was married for fifty-eight years.

She is survived by her two children,  Renee Houle of Waterford, CT and Paul Houle of Burrillville, RI.

She worked and retired from AT Cross Company in Lincoln, RI

Irene enjoyed being at home with her pets, eating out and going to hear her son’s band play.  She loved music.  She was also an avid John Wayne and classic movie fan.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, at 10:00 AM in St. Theresa’s Church, 35 Dion Dr., Nasonville, RI. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Irene can be made to Best Friends Animal Society.
