Jeannette J. (Dion) Olson

Jeannette J. Olson, 90, of Woonsocket, RI passed away peacefully at the Friendly Home in Woonsocket on October 24, 2023. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Aurore (Viens) Dion. She was the beloved wife of the late Arlen Olson.

She retired from former Tupperware Company as an instructor after working there for many years.

She volunteered for over 25 years at the Woonsocket Senior Center. She loved traveling, spending time on the beach in Narragansett, bowling, bingo, playing cards and cribbage, she loved sports and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her children; Eric Olson and his wife Nancy, Nancy Lanagan and her companion Roger Coutu and Carol Guilbault and her husband Wayne. Also 3 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind her brother, Raymond Chevrette and his wife Sue and sister Claire Chevrette.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Terry Votto and her former son-in-law, Gary Lanagan.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, RI.

Calling hours will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. John Episcopal Church, 49 Central St., Millville, MA 01529. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, 125 North Smithfield Rd., North Smithfield, RI.
