Jeannine (Carpentier) St. Laurent, 89, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at Saint Antoine Residence in North Smithfield. She was the loving wife to the late Arthur St. Laurent who passed away in November 2014. Arthur and Jeannine were married for 57 years. Jeannine was born in Woonsocket, RI, daughter of the late Arthur and Jeannette Carpentier (Trudeau). She graduated from St. Clare in 1954. Jeannine worked as a buyer at McCarthy’s Department Store for over 10 years where she enjoyed many trips to New York City with her colleagues. She retired from Keough Kirby/The Hilb Group of NE following a 20-year tenure. Jeannine’s greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons and two daughters: Normand and his wife Jacqueline; Andre and his wife Janice; Arthur E. St. Laurent; Paulette La Marca and her husband Vincent; and Jeanne Richer and her husband Ronald. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Marc St. Laurent. Her funeral will be held Monday May 11, 2026. Calling hours are 8:00 am at the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Trinity Parish formerly Our Lady Queen of Martyrs on Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham, MA. The family would like to thank the staff of Special Care Unit at Saint Antoine Resident for the kind and compassionate care provided to her.
