Joanna (Assis) Ross

Joanna Ross, 93, of Uxbridge, MA passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Born in Woonsocket, RI she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Coranna (Paul) Assis. She was the loving wife of the late James Ross.

Joanna lived in Slatersville most of her life. Joanna worked for Tupperware for 20 years, She served as a past president of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Russell Breault and wife Karen of White Rock, NM and Linda Breault of North Kingstown, RI along with her three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind her brother, Adelard “Archie” Mannis and her sisters, Rosalie Benoit and Louise Beaudoin.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Theresa “Terry” Lapierre, Lillian Gauthier, Mary Gloria, Irene Murphy and John Assis.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., No. Smithfield, RI.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, 63 Church St. Slatersville, RI. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
