John E. Wheeler

John E. Wheeler, Sr., 72, of Burrillville, RI passed away at home with his loving family by his side on May 16, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose (Bellows) Wheeler. He was the loving husband of Joan (Vanasse) Wheeler.

He worked for Conley Casting and Pierce Aluminum. He was a busy man, who in his free time enjoyed traveling, Ice fishing, working with carpentry. He was a man who loved fixing things. In his younger years he also worked masonry with his father. His greatest love of all was his family.

Besides his wife, Joan he is survived by his two children, Jamie Wheeler and John Wheeler, Jr. and his three grandchildren ,Ava, Ethan and Adam.

He also leaves behind his siblings, Charles Wheeler, Jane Comtois and Roxanne Andrews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Wheeler and his beloved dog Lakota.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 4 – 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Good Help on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Theresa’s Cemetery, Nasonville.
