Joseph A. Gauvin, 75, of Burrillville, RI passed away peacefully at his home on November 4, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family. Born in Providence, RI he was the son of Roland and Rita (Archambault) Gauvin, and the beloved husband of Nancy (Donnelly) Gauvin for 49 years.
Mr. Gauvin honorably served as a member of the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He dedicated 34 years of service as a Chemical Technician with Dominion Nuclear Power Plant before his retirement. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, participated in ROTC, and graduated from Providence College.
An avid fan of the Patriots, Mr. Gauvin also enjoyed watching college football and basketball, horse racing, and dog shows. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, Mr. Gauvin is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Sullivan and Ruth Dion, his grandson, Ashton Dion and his brother, Raymond Gauvin.
Calling hours will be held at the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, on November 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. A Prayer Service will take place at 4:00 PM. Burial will take place privately at the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions honoring Joseph may be made to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
